Jared is a litigator.  He concentrates his practice on criminal defense, personal injury/wrongful death, and employment law.  Jared also devotes a substantial amount of his practice to other civil matters, including insurance bad faith, estate litigation, real estate litigation, and breach of contract.

Jared is widely recognized for his courtroom demeanor.  He is also known for his effective writing and creative motion practice.  These characteristics allow Jared to represent his clients at the highest level.  Jared is focused on providing his clients with personalized attention.  He is easily reachable and is always willing to take the necessary time to answer questions.

Jared joined The Moore Law Firm, PLLC in September 2013.  Since then, Jared has been lead counsel in hundreds of cases.  Jared regularly appears in municipal, magistrate, and circuit courts throughout northern West Virginia.  He is well versed in courtroom procedure.  Jared has successfully tried cases to verdict and has also briefed cases before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals.

In 2015, Jared was selected for membership into The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 for West Virginia.  He received his prestigious recognition at age 28 and after only practicing law for three years.  Membership is by invitation only and is extended to those exemplifying superior qualifications, trial results, and leadership as an attorney under the age of 40.

After graduating from Pendleton County High School in 2005, Jared attended West Virginia University where he majored in Finance.  He received numerous honors form the College of Business and Economics before graduating summa cum laude in 2009.  Although Jared still has an interest in business and finance, his heart has always been dedicated to the law.

While attending the West Virginia University College of Law, Jared quickly distinguished himself by his advocacy skills. Jared received the highest grade in Trial Advocacy and Post-Conviction Remedies.  He was also voted President of the Marlyn E. Lugar Trial Association by his peers.  During his third year, Jared won the prestigious Lugar Cup Competition, which was judged by Justice Stephanie Thacker of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.  Jared was selected for the Patrick Duffy Koontz Award for his outstanding promise with respect to scholastic ability and attainment, moral force of character, and leadership.

After graduation, Jared worked in the litigation group of Bowles Rice LLP in Charleston.  He primarily defended personal injury actions, but also had experience in breach of contract, bad faith, deliberate intent, property damage, and defamation cases.  Jared speaks very highly of Bowles Rice and often refers matters outside of his practice back to his old colleagues.

Jared believes strongly in giving back to the community.  He volunteers his time as a coach of various mock trial competition teams at the West Virginia University College of Law.  Jared enjoys teaching students about courtroom demeanor and procedure.
