The Moore Law Firm would like to congratulate Jerry D. Moore for his successful defense of a breach of contract case in Hampshire County on July 11, 2014.
Jerry represented a nonprofit organization, which was sued for breach of contract. The plaintiff alleged that she entered into a contract with the nonprofit organization for the purchase of equipment. The issue at trial was whether an oral contract existed and whether the plaintiff was demanding payment to which she was not entitled.
The jury’s verdict did not require the nonprofit organization to pay the plaintiff the funds that she demanded.
Based upon the jury’s verdict, the Court ordered the plaintiff to pay court costs. The jury’s verdict was a victory for the nonprofit organization.
